OT: Is there a way to block images and avatars

Post by MBF »

Just a basic question - I am wondering if there is a way to block images/avatars/etc. while viewing this forum ?

I find the forum a great read but am not crazy about the 'artistic sensibilities' (or lack thereof) of some posters. Far far be it for me to police any posters in any way shape or form - I am just looking for a method for me to continue to visit.

Thanks

Out of interest, what is the problem here? I.e. How does the showing of Avatars and sigs cause an issue? Thanks.

Some of them get suddenly hairy *sigh* I wish I could deny the twisted humour in that...

In your "My Profile" you can set speed options that include not displaying images or avatars.
I think that the two obligations you have are to be good at what you do and then to pass on your knowledge to a younger person

Maybe I have it wrong .... I guess I am no longer 12 years old and in the locker room and don't get the humor anymore

Sigh - the ravages of age and time....

I am assuming this is sarcasm, but just in case it's not . . .

Have you seen Grey Joy's avatar (the one Gräfin Zeppelin refers to)?

I just started my lunch a few minutes ago and shortly into it, I stumbled upon his avatar. Needless to say, I just put my lunch back in the cooler and will eat when I get home.

He could seriously start a new fad diet with that thing. "Before sitting down to eat, take a look at this picture." [:D]

No Icedawg it was not sarcasm - it was a genuine enquiry. How do I find Grey Joy's avatar?

I just stumbled across a post of his over in the War Room. It was in some thread about amphibious TF composition. It's one of the top 10 or so threads and it's still just on the first page so it shouldn't be tough to find.

I hope you have a strong stomach!

That's not enough to undo the damage.

Now Rob Brennan UK's avatar? That's more like it. [X(]

Yep, Mylene Klass does it for me too [8D]. However, I believe that my avatar beats even the lovely Mylene. Okay at the time of WWII she was an ageing beauty, but still the beauty none the less; yes indeedy, a real lady and she packed some exquisite 15-inchers. [:)]

I use FireFox.

I use it for years.

I love it... [:D]

There is FireFox Add-In called "AdBlock" that can be set to block anything you wish... [:)]
