Not so much is happening in the central Pacific besides an incidental submarine attack. However, this may change very shortly.

That was a serious setback. A couple of hits would have made the life of the Allies a lot easier. But I couldn't expect too much from the Dauntless pilots as they were unexperienced land based units in contrast tot the experienced crews on the carriers. Even more astonishing was the sinking of the BB Mississippi by a couple of Japanese destroyers. Aarrrggg...

Slow old BBs are easy prey for the long lance torp attacks. Especially in low visibility conditions it's better to always screen slow BBs with a Destroyer division TF...

Thanks!
But perhaps suprisingly it doesn't cost a lot of work. I just have paint open next to WITPAE and once a nice shot comes by I make a printscreen. After the turn it is quickly copy pasting and browsing for some photos on the internet. I copy everything to a powerpoint file where I also do the typing. In powerpoint you can save one single page as a JPEG. This is what I post on the forum. And after a while I will convert the whole powerpoint file which still contains every single page into PDF. An than it is truely an E-book which you can scroll through. I will also post these on the forum when the book is a little bigger. Cheers!

I don't know where the picture is from. I just downloaded it from the internet.
I used to play CFS2 and never touched the IL2.
I didn't see black smoke so I still expect her to show up later tonight at T.

Even if it was not penatrating there is a good chance a 1K bomb caused enough damage to form an escort TF ... [;)] If that annimation is correct it at least caused severe / major damage of some sort ...[My experience is only severe damage hits trigger the flames from the hit as opposed to the flames and black smoke from severe fires ...] Just a thought ...
