Meeting the neighbors. The Empire shows it's ugly head, too close to my capital for comfort

Met my other neighbors NEW UNION, the Empire is pushing south crowding me. so far i only control 1 RAW site, need more. I built a cargo ship and landed 2 units behind the empire units and have 2 more units in route. Plan is too cut off the southern empire units at the narrowest part of the land mass and cut there supply. I only see 1 weak New Union unit holding a city, maybe i can get the city before they reinforce it.

I cut off the southern Empire forces and managed to take the city from New Union before they reinforced it.

plan is too reinforce the northern boundary with the Empire and keep those troops cut off, dispose of pocketed troops and then push north.

Still only seen 2 units from the New Union, the weak unit i kicked out of the city and a cargo ship.

The Empire continues to push south, maybe they haven't got the word yet that there cut off. the Empire did cut off my new city.Haven't seen much from New Union, which is good because i don't have the troops yet to shuttle over there. the terrain is brutal, i don't think i'll be investing in any armor. My armored cars are only good fighting on the roads.

plan is to hold against the Empire down south and reinforce the northern line and keep them bottled up and finish them off when there readiness drops.

i'll take a wait and see attitude with the New Union.

Tech investment.

the terrain is rough, no tank investment coming. going to invest in Artillery, planes, cruiser, but for sure going to upgrade my infantry troops.

Reinforced northern line, southern empire troops dying on the vine. Will clear out the pockets and then shift some troops to the west in case New Union gets froggy. Not much action from New Union yet.
then push north against The Empire. Need to clean up some C&C issues, still only have my Supreme HQ handling everything.

Cleaned out the pockets of Empire troops, shifted forces west and am engaged with New Union forces now also. Claimed a level3 raw from New Union. Massing troops at northern border with the empire, new HQ now running the northern empire task force, ready to push north.

2 months later we finally cracked the line and have started pushing north. Had to bring alot of Artillery and some cruisers and land troops behind there lines to get it done. No sealing the doorway now. I finally was able to tech my infantry up to level 2. I will probably gather supply and PP's and auto upgrade all my infantry to level 2, so i'll have to sit and hold for a couple turns so there readiness goes back up.

Hard and slow going, but the noose is tightening on the empires capital city Vienna. Pound them with artillery to soften them up and attack the weak links. I have several planes but they have alot of flak mixed in, so i have to be selective when i fly missions. I also have my cruisers blocking Vienna.

Attempting to split the defenders. Some of my units are getting ground down, it's been a hard slog.
My cruisers continue to do anti-supply work.

Split the defenders of Vienna, how many more months until the city falls. Pulled my most worn down troops off the line and will combine units with near same experience level and hold them out of the fighting until there readiness returns.
