Results - Ouch! Casualties are very heavy. 3 retreats and 2 holds. This is gonna be harder then I thought...

Does it get easier the second turn of Blizzard?

Turn 25 non offensive attack - Better results near the Pola river bridgehead. I plan on attacking hexes where he leaves a fortress unit on the line. This attack went more like I was anticipating.

Every time I see that portrait of Gordov, I think he's wearing a rug, and a cheap one at that. [:D]

Near Lake Seliger a lone panzer regiment was holding the line. I really do not plan on attacking Panzers unless they are in exposed positions. I want to really crack his infantry this winter as long term it is what he will need more of.

Kalinin front - Zhukov and his Boys have been in the thick of it since September in front of Moscow. My tactic of letting Western front armies get the crap beat out of them so Zhukov and his generals could absorb victories hasnt really paid off in guards units yet but all of his generals have more victories then defeats.

Kalinin fronts goal is to kill jerries and gey Vyazma back. Its ultimate goal is to get to the upper Dnepr.

Parts of Northwest front and Kalinin front combine to establish a bridgehead over the Volga. Northwest front units get across easily but 49th army runs into SS, reserve motorized units and level 3 forts. The hex falls thanks to the 2-1 rule but with heavy casualties. The 1st Calvary corps makes its first combat appearance.

I know as an Axis player I would be concerned with this development but there is a row of level 3 forts to fall back to.

Kalinin front had 7 attacks that were a success and no holds. A few Panzer divisions were caught in the offensive and all 7 hexes were level 3 forts. In some areas the next line is level 2 forts.

Bryansk front launches a few local attacks against Axis motorized units and gets 2 bloody holds. A third attack over the Oka with a Cav corps leading the way finally gets a bridgehead over the important river.

You got some insane CV values for 41 Sovs, even in blizz.

I probably don't have to tell you, since you played a few games as Axis, but this game is.... well, it's game over for the Axis. Reminds me of two games I had with ACR, he simply didn't do enough while he could.

Southwest front - Local attacks again with 6 retreats. He is rather weak here but I am not interested in pushing the front too far west. 2 large reserve armies from southern front are nearby If I change my mind.

Southern front - The last major offensive in December will be near D and Z towns. Southern front has some strong units including 1st Shock army.

The goal here is to kill stuff. His forts are weak and he has a lot of Axis allies in the area.

Southern results - 12 attacks with 2 holds. His fort line is breached. Deepending on his reactions I may send my 2 large reserve armies in the gap thats opening up.
