Historical error on Sdkfz 250

Post by phcas »

Hello,

I think it is an historical error (also in PG1) that the Sdkfz 250 Armored Halftrack is be used in the game as a transport (prime mover) for heavy guns. The Sdkfz 250 is a light recon halftrack. The Sdkfz 251 was in use to tow 75mm AT guns and 105 mm Artillery but the Sdkfz 250 was not.

I think it will be much better if the more heavy guns will have a Sdkfz 7 as halftrack transport and no Sdkfz 250. The Sdkfz 7 can have the same movement (Halftrack) as the Sdkfz 250 but can be a soft target. (RSO is also an option).

Same thing for the allies. No brencarrier for heavy guns but a prime mover. US M4 tracktor for the heavy guns etc.

What do we think about this?

For the Strategic Bombers it shout be wonderfull to see a FW-200 Condor with a high anti-ship value.

Greetings Caspar

Yes that's the one that was used for hauling the heavies, the RSO would be a nice addition too. Although that one wasn't used as much as the SdKfz 7. The SdKfz is pretty big actually.
