Operation Citadel (A.A.R.)

Post by Obsolete »

I am very cramped for time this week, but I will try to keep one-turn-a-day going in the current version.

Looks very much like the PG Kursk offensive scenario WHICH IS GOOD in my opinion since that was so engaging. I guess the AI is improved this time around though and with a hard difficulty this could be a whole new challenge in itself.

I guess Stukas pave the way, Tigers pushing armored resistance away, then the Artillery and Grenadiers mopping up the infantry and AT Guns.

To be honest, I'm not much a fan of Stukas anymore, used to be. But lets see how things go in this scenario...

After looking at those pics....

If you move units back do they always turn around like that? I mean in the one image the over strength Panther Unit is facing the wrong way along with the Elephant underneath it.

Is that KV-2 just a placeholder at the moment? I thought it had a short stubby fat barrel on it? I think a 152mm.

Everything looks outstanding though really like the walkthrough so far with all the quality images.

I think the KV-2 is a final icon, but I'm not 100% sure if that is the developer's intention.

I'm not sure the units are facing the wrong way. There are only left/right references, so perhaps it may look a bit confusing at times without seeing their movement in my shots.

We have people working on it! Hard to get right though so it takes some time compared to screenshots.

Hey Obsolete you should play the Gustav Line scenario next and get away from Russia! I see you just posted the notification on the AAR thread at slitherine forums.

Well damn, I was hoping to chose another Russian front next. Not sure I want to go to Italy.

Hmm! I was just about to do your Gustav line actually... maybe it would be best for a change in atmosphere...  I"ll try it and lets see how we do...

Ah you are in sunny Italy!
Jagdpanther looks wonderful. The hero / warriors getting medals is quite a nice touch. All the models for armor look very well done.

Actually, the JagDTiger looks even better, but if I bought an AT unit now, it would be an Elephant and nothing else.

I had no idea the M163 Komet was in that theater during the time frame.

They weren't (in any time frame). The Komet saw no action outside the Reich.
