Player requests for next release

Post by PirateJock »

Thought it'd be useful if there was one thread to put player requests for possible game improvements.

change some of the sound files ... I've replaced some of the files so I can tell if a tank or AT unit is firing or machine guns ... not that I need the change ... I made it myself ... but good sound affects help immersion

and look at the phase names. some are a bit misleading like the Attackers Assault phase (see other thread)

Any chance this could be stickied so any suggestions go into a single thread? Who would be able to do that?

Cheers

Its now more than 8 weeks. If we don't hear a peep from the developers for this release I have no interest in another release.

Pirate, did you check the CombatCommand.ini file for the OOB size?

OOBDlgX0=150
OOBDlgY0=138

Weird, really weird man, it's like they (developers) want to transmit all these negative vibes for their game. Just stop with the negative vibes.

Superb spot [:)]

Where is the ini file? I'd try to find it before - or a config file of some sort - with no luck. If you've got one then I need to double check. And more interestingly, what else is in there?

1) I would like to see black text for the top right information area when the terrain is snow. Right now when there is snow and the text is light colored, I can barely read it!

2) Accurate victory dialog and results! I'm tired of seeing I lost when I held every single victory point.

I had the same problem, have a look here tm.asp?m=2799036 for a possible solution

Excellent! That was an easy fix. Thanks a lot. Good old Matrix forums came through to the rescue again. [&o]

Unit Reinforcement entry based on.
  • Turn Number (currently), as well as...
  • Random turn range
  • Event triggers
    • historical decisions (optional at scenario start)
    • last stand civilians recruited to defend capital city
    • enemy units appear at hex(es) (x,y)
    • etc

In the Editor - ability to move units on a map rather than having delete them and recreate at the desired location.

Found the .ini and tried this, unfortunately this only controls the location of the box, not the size. I tried other *possible* parameters, i.e. tried to guess what it might be called, with no success :(
