Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

My Zone Alarm anti virus just ran a system check & this came up so I would strongly suggest that you run your anti virus software just to make sure that it is not on your systems

Can be a false positive or you where infected from another source, i highly doubt it was delivered in the base setup or during the patching process as more anti-viruses would have caught it.

The files you have listed are TGA files and aren't "executable" and are therefore no threat.  I'd say you have a false positive.

You're probably right as WitE has been on my system since release & there have been no problems but as I don't know enough about how virus infections start I thought it prudent to warn the community that there may be a something around. There was a spam message on the forum yesterday & I looked at it because there were some amusing responses from other people & that could be where it was picked up. or as you say it could be unrelated.

Usually when the anti-virus program "quarantines" a file it moves it and zips it up ( or otherwise renders it harmless ) and so as a result those files are most likely not available to WITE now.  You may experience strange behavior from running WITE at certain zoom levels in certain areas of the map.  Just a thought.

It is theoretically possible to infect graphic files with a virus. But I think the more compressed formats are more of a liability than a TGA (i.e. JPG's which expand in memory when viewed).

It is in all probability a false-positive due to ZoneAlarm updating its database.
Happened to me with AVG a few weeks ago, when suddenly all my BattleFront games were detected as threats. [:D]

Besides, the Win32.Kolab worm usually doesn't hide in image-files, and it's usually contracted through E-mail.
Especially MS' horrendous client......

Anyway, as long as you've got a firewall up and running, there's little danger.
Win32.Kolab is more a backdoor than an actual worm.

I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
