Scale?

Post by benpark »

What is the scale of Combat Command? It seems to be company sized, but I'm not sure is this can be varied. Is there a set hex distance as far as the scale is concerned?

Also, what are the terrain types available?

Ben, Hexes are 500m, so when your platoon of Tigers maxes out at a firing-range of 3 hexes, that's 1.5Km.

Terrain types are basically made up of:
  • Beach
  • Uneven
  • Woods
  • High Ground
  • Rough
  • Mountain
  • Town
  • City
  • Sea
  • River
  • Stream
  • Swamp
  • bocage
  • Fort
  • Cliff
  • Airfields
  • Orachard
I'm probably missing some, but there's also other additions.. minefields, dragons teeth, primary & secondary roads, etc.

Well that would certainly be better than the Amazon alternative. I noticed yesterday someone is still selling Combat Command II: Desert Rats for 60$. That's used, and obviously it won't come with all the extras.

Seems all the other tiles in the series, including Danger Forward & Danger Forward - Gold have already been nabbed by the nostalgia-hunters.
