Port Supply Capacity

Post by Farfarer61 »

I have cut the SU ( on map) in half, and seized all the Caspian ports save Guriev. This little port continues to supply half the SU forces on the map of course using the RR along the east edge at 1 MP cost. The whole southern area is isolated from Chelyabinsk, and Baku is mine. Is this WAD? I assume that there are "off map" ports and sources of supply being funneled through Guriev at the Port Supply MP rate if so.

I was wondering about port capacity and supply handling too, good question.

The same as here - tm.asp?m=2743525. Sea/rail network elements have no limit for the supply capacity.

Thought they seemed related. Still it is better than the "entire east edge" being a supply source as in some games.

I didn't mean this particular example, but the general way the supply network works right now. In words of Ohm's law resistance of elements is 0, allowing to have infinite current. And yes, this can lead to the unreal situations. I'm not saying it won't be changed in the future, but it would require months of development and testing.

Btw, you can post your save. I can use it as reference in the future. Thanks.
