DW RotS 1.501 Update Crash

I've never done this before so I'm not sure what you want from me, but here is my problem. DW RotS ran fine until I installed the 1.501 update. Now I can't get the game to load anymore. When I try to start the game, I get as far as "Repairing Battle Damage" and then the error message pops up.

"Distant Worlds has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly."

Any suggestions????

I think the same problem was reported before, not sure where that thread is now. Anyway, you can update to the latest beta (1.5.0.4) and check if you still get this issue; if so, the below threads will detail how to report this
