Another couple of dumb questions ...

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Another couple of dumb questions ...

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi, Couple of questions I didn't find a clear answer in the manual.

Please refer to image below:

---> A: In this counter, what is this information about ?
---> B: If so much troops are attached to my HQ unit, why can't I fight with the HQ unit ? And why is CV = 0 ?

Thanks

A is the number of strategic movement points for use when moving by Rail or Sea.

B- the Manpower number in HQs is made up of support squads (Check out Italian Hqs for an amusing illustration of support squads). Support squads do not have weapons.
It's only a Game

Ok for A.
Regarding B, I don't see the point of having so many men attached if they don't combat. So othe HQ units have up to 20.000 troops attached ...

hmm, I guess you never worked in the army or any administration for that matter. They are here to handle desk job like paying your soldier, send death letter to their family, making request to higher HQ for food and fuel and ammunition. And yes it does take that much people.

Best regards

Never been in the army (and proud of it), you are right !

But well, what about this one:

20k troops, 208 arty and 20 tanks and ... CV = 0.

Should I assume that the 20 tanks are service vehicles for the secretaries?

Sorry but this makes no sense to me ... any other explanation ?

The tanks and arty are in the support units attached to the HQ.

SU CV Values are shown alot more clearly in the battle detail screen.
