Exception Error

Got the following exception when trying to look at a pirate base design.

Again, this looks a lot like the known issue that occurs if you delete some of the base designs. If you've done so, you will need to restart and just obsolete them (though you may be able to import them from a temp game). If this doesn't apply to you, guess you'll need to wait on Erik to reply.

Thanks for the error report Das123.

How were you viewing the pirate base design? Was this by clicking the design name in the Selection Panel (i.e. you had a ship with Trace Scanner components nearby)? Or did the pirate faction join your empire, and you then viewed the design?

Do you have a savegame showing this problem?

I didn't keep a save-game sorry. I was able to continue playing.

It came about as I was attacking a pirate base. I selected the base in the main window then clicked on the base design listed in the unit card (lower left). I didn't have control of the base at all. The base was destroyed soon after I continued the game.

On this particular base I had tried this a few times and got the same error each time. But later I tried to emulate it further in the game but it would neither show the design nor the exception. I think I was attacking with a found cruiser so perhaps it did have advanced sensors. It was very early in the game though.

Did you have a Trace Scanner researched and installed?

After further investigation, I was able to reproduce and fix this problem for the next update. Thanks again for the report Das123.
