Bind numeric keys ?

How exactly is this done ?

I believe you select the hex on the map, and then press the control key and the typewriter numeric key, not the number pad, for the numeral you wish to bind. Once this is done you use the numeric key to jump to that hex.

I can't test this at the moment, but I think it is right.

Yes exactly what cpdeyoung said - you use the keyboard numeric keys not the numpad. And then ctrl + numeric key to bind. Then use that numeric key to jump there.
