Hi MV. I load CAW maybe once a month and only play/modify my Solomon Scenario. I tinker with different objectives and try to learn/create AI warcards for the objectives. Great game lost, it just needed better replayablity developement.

I found CAW to be kind of weak and had no where near the suspense of the earlier version (not sure why). Is sort of a game to play during idle time, but not that engrossing; just kind of blah. Feels like a very old game, and graphics seem straight out of the '90's.

Glad I bought the discounted holiday sale version.

Have you tried HPS' Midway game? If not, you might want to give it a look. It has IP play.

Its a shame, I'd have loved to have seen the game converted to a 1930's edition:

Ever wonder what those little buggers were that were mounted atop the upper wings of these Golden Age aircraft?

They were gun cameras:

I don't understand. Is no one modding this game? I have the old SGI version, and was thinking about getting this new version, but I can't believe there aren't some mods available for this by now. I remember following this a couple years ago before it was released, and it looked like it was really going to be a big improvement over the original. However this forum seems almost dead and nothing seems to be going on with this game. Are there any other forums where more is happening or is this it? It really seems a shame that what appears to be a great game, is just being left to fall into obivion! I play both Witp and WPO and both of mine are heavily modded, so I can't see why this couldn't be taken into the 1930's or War Plan Orange era. I'd certainly love to see such a mod and would help in anyway possible. However I haven't invested in it yet, mainly because there isn't anything being modded or any aparent knowledge base available on how to do it! [:-]

Hi,
I found some MODs available on the Internet, and there IS a scenario for Plan Orange available to play with CAW.

I must admit that after having a few goes at it, I continue to find the USA getting blown out of the water by the Japanese, but that just might be my bad luck.

I played CAW heaps when I was young on an early PC, and played a number of SSG titles on my Apple long ago. I do love the games.

You can play those games when you retire she says ... well I want to retire tomorrow then.
