In screen enemy spotted troops = 45100

Spotted troops is equivalent to infantry (from frendly unit screen) or
Spotted troops is equivalent to infantry + second line troops ??

I've always thought the Spotted Troops number included both infantry and second line troops.

I´d check the DL of the target. Spotted troops are highly unreliable as long as DL is low.

Afaik they should show the total troop count.

Spotted troops is equivalent to infantry + second line troops

Basically any Squad or Engineer counts in the enemy troop tally.

I saw this today; a Japanese hex contained 50,000 troops. More than the entire Indian Army....in one hex.

I always use rule that 15000 troops is ~400AV

Where did you get the number of 50,000 for the Indian Army.
Occasionally, and randomly, problems and solutions collide. The probability of these collisions is inversely related to the number of committees working on the solutions. -- Me.
