American Air Unit will not withdraw

Post by matt.buttsworth »

I have an American air unit at Calcutta that is due to be withdrawn in 9 turns.
But when I click on it there is no disband or withdrawal option.
What should I do?
It is HQ is Pacific Ocean Areas but changing it to an Indian Air HQ does not help either.
I do not want to incur penalty points.

Quick check for any fragments or such is to see if there is an 'Unit OOB' (or such, one of the buttons in the lower left of the screen) on the group screen. Pressing that will show any units that are looking to the main group as its parent.

I am also having trouble with Withdrawing Air units. I have several that will not go peaceably. It makes no difference where they are located.
I have tried!
1. They have NO fragments.
2. They are in the same base as the parent Command HQ (Which is also ON MAP in the hex).
3. The base has MASSIVE supply and fuel.
4. The units have the full compliment of A/C and pilots.
5. Even in the US West coast area, they won't budge.

In many cases, they are the HQ part of a group. In 3 cases, the HQ part of the group will not have withdraw as an option even though all the "Line" squadrons withdrew just fine. I also have 1 line unit that won't go either (it's the only member of the group still on the map.)
The only thing I can do when the time is up is disband the unit and I lose all the pilots and planes even if others are of the same type in the hex for transfer.

Something ain't right.

gdsnake, that is working properly. Some units have to be disbanded and you lose the pilots and aircraft. These represent units that were transferred to other theaters.
