What is this reinforcement bug? I had a situation in the latest official release where during a reinforcement phase I could not detach factors from a corps into Stockholm. It would create a 0-factor garrison icon on the map, but I could not transfer factors into it. This was a solo-AI game as France conquering a GB-controlled Sweden. Let me know if this file would be useful and I can forward it along.

Cheers,

Hi Ted

This is Mantis 639 in versions 1.08 of the game or later (which only the testers have). Del apparently has a save file, but I don't think he has given it to Marshall yet.

Nah - I read through that Mantis report and what I was experiencing was different than what was described in 639. Sadly, I no longer have the save files from that solo game, so I can't dupe the issue.

Cheers,

Ted

I'd be interested, but I don't think we need a full 7 players for this. If Marshall wants a year long test, why not play with 4 players, France, Britain, Austria and Turkey (to test the levy of feudals), and we can get through the year faster. If there is a 7th player, then maybe it should be Spain to test guerrillas.

Yes good point Dancing Bear, 5 should give us a good cross section of behaviour as you indicate France, Austria, GB, Turkey and Spain
This will also check out the naval with the last 3 MP's

Sorry to ask, but why you need more then one tester to test one year of pbem? One single tester can effectively simulate 7 players in a very short time on
locally on a single machine.

You're right Ashtar BUT I have found that separate machines / instances is a much more complete test. I changed to this method (+ 1 player simulating PBEM game) because it just seems to catch more before going out the door so far.

As I said in my earlier post I am happy to play. I will need a 1.08.01 Beta version of the game sent to me(I am running 1.702 now). How many players do we have/need before we can get started?

We could run two games. One of just two players for the year (say Austria and Turkey), and another of 4 or 5 players for 3 months or so. That would speed things up and give us a pretty good test in a reasonable time frame.
