Good thing the Florida TF got that Japanese Convoy to run from Marcus island or the U.S. troops there would be doomed. The Hawaii Division will be embarking on ships hopefully by tommorow to reinforce Marcus island they will probably take a week to arrive. The Florida task force has to run back to Guam because I have no fuel on Marcus island [:(] Hopefully some more of those damaged Japanese ships in that convoy will sink on the way back to Wake island. I'm gonna show a picture of the Florida TF fighting that convoy in the next post.

Florida TF convoy battle on 6/19

And heres a pic of that battle [8D] Kind of a rag tag force that was heading to Hong Kong but was diverted to help out Marcus island. Notice the Kentucky among them an old Kearsarge BB [:)]

I decided to turn around the Florida TF to defend Marcus just in case there were any further Japanese landing and that convoy from yesterday came back also a rather large Japanese oiler TF was hit passing Marcus which I have a picture of. The danger right now in holding the Florida TF at Marcus is that it is getting low on fuel I want to ship some fuel there but I want the Hawaii Division to secure the island before I drop some fuel there. I wouldn't want it to fall into Japanese hands.

I spotted a Japanese convoy heading towards the Philippines but due to bad weather my navies have lost sight of it. The Hawaiian division is on the move from Eniwetok hopefully it will help the situation on Marcus island. And the Japanese have used another shock attack on Marcus causing U.S. troops more casualties then they suffered but no breakthrough in the lines.

The BB Florida TF does some nice damage to that Japanese tanker convoy which I estimate is heading towards Wake island. I moved around alot of logistics this turn. I also have sent out several engineer units from California to Manila to raise support levels there. I've also sent some oil and an ammunition ship to Marcus island to replenish the Florida TF.

Well as you can see some Japanese minesweepers found a minefield I laid at Taipei. I'm using the minefields to try and limit the Japanese approaches to Luzon so I can starve the armies they have there out. I figure once their armies are starved of supplies the Japanese army on the Manila front will collapse and Luzon will be cleared. Well here's a map of the Allied mine barrages.

Some fuel has finally arrived at Marcus so the Florida TF can refuel now. My subs operating around Wake have spotted a Japanese convoy heading Northwest from Wake towards Marcus probably ferrying some troops.

Several Japanese convoys alluded my notice until I was looking over the map. I noticed the convoy at Lingayen which the Illinois TF destroyed and that landing force that attempted a landing at Manila it was on the Bataan hex at the end of last turn. I have been relying on carrier based and land based planes and blimps to spot Japanese ships but bad weather has hampered spotting so much that these two convoys almost slipped by totally unnoticed.

Well a mixed Chinese and U.S. force raided Taichu this time and sank 4 ships. I added two U.S. destroyers to the Chinese navy squadron that I had languishing in Shanghai harbor. The Florida TF beat up a tiny Japanese tanker. And the Hawaii Division had its first taste of the Marcus island front unleashing Tropic Lightning.

The 2nd UK Division has arrived in Appari I'm gonna use it in an upcoming offensive on northern Luzon. I think a couple of more days of combat will finish up the Japanese troops on Marcus Island the Hawaii division has saved the situation.
