This was actually an shock assualt with a fully supplied and good morale division and armored car unit.

THe division backed out and the armored car unit was obliberated off the map.

Something new definatly. Probably failed a low probability morale checkj.

Post mortem, the division assualted alone the next day and routed the same stack.

Happens, when enemy units retreat in poor state across a river and ends into hex with more your units in it. River crossing = Forced shock attack.

Either two of the vehicles were destroyed twice {Commander Montgomery Scott working for the IJA?} or FOW.
