The Australian Bathurst class was designed as a minesweeper but evolved into a corvette. Modders might wanna look at the different attributes and use some of them in different roles than provided for in the game..
One thing I like them for is to carry troops..

Good class, and a good use of Australian build capacity. The Japs could have learned something here.
