The highly anticipated new 4x space strategy game has come out of hyperspace and is ready for action!

Matrix Games and Ntronium Games (www.ntronium.com) are thrilled to announce that Armada 2526 is now available for purchase from Matrix Games! Armada 2526 is the heir to one of the first great space empire-building games and it is the product of veteran game designer and developer R.T. Smith, of “Total War” series fame.

Now gamers can enjoy the 4x turn-based strategy / real time tactical blend that The Wargamer has called “the spiritual successor to the Total War series in Sci-fi form.” Armada 2526 was also recently well-received at IGN as it was called a possible “compelling alternative to the reigning kings of the 4X sci-fi game.”

In addition to accolades in the press, two trailers, plenty of screenshots, and even a manual excerpt are also available to give would-be galactic commanders a feel for Armada 2526. To mark the occasion of the game’s release, another two dozen screenshots are also available for perusing!
