IAR-80

Classification: Fighter (Rumania)

Strengths:

- adequate range
- adequate firepower

Weaknesses:

- high wing loading and poor maneuverability
- low top speed
- lack of armour and self-sealing fuel tanks

Expected Use:

Expected to be limited to local defence of Romania with limited
use in offensive operations in the Crimean Front. At present has not been approved for export to germany or axis allies. May be used in combination with other aircraft variants supplied to the Romanian Air force to compensate for deficiencies.

Suggested Tactics:

Aircraft is outclassed by all soviet fighters. Strengths of your soviet aircraft should be emphasized and the enemy engaged on your own terms. Aircraft is vulnerable to damage and has a poor turning radius. Be aware of mixed aircraft types in the formation.

Greetings,

This is a derivative of the WIR mod made for WITP1.

It has however been heavily modified in terms of land and air combat,
including the map which is based on 40-mile hexes.

In reality this game has more in common with WITP-AE than WITP vanilla
and should be posted in this forum. The last few details are being resolved
in this campaign before a release for WITP-AE is made.

The differences in naval combat are immaterial as this is an air-land war -->
and most importantly, It must be kept where there is most activity to facilitate
the mtrix staff to make a separate European-Theater title based on the WITP engine. [8D]
