Does bad weather ground aircraft performing search missions?

It appears that one way to avoid having bad weather cancel your air strikes is to give the aircraft a naval search mission instead. They seem to fly anyhow, and occasionally get some hits.

Is this as designed, a bug, or just my imagination?

Can't say for positive, but my experience has shown that even when a/c don't fly due to weather, I'm still spotting TFs out there. I'd say the search a/c still fly (but a Matrix rep would be the definitive word).

I agree with you Toro. I can still see TFs coming my way during bad weather and that must be due to search planes.
