Thanks CF. You have added, through your story, even more luster to a game I've enjoyed for years. I vote that the Matrix team present you a letter or plaque of appreciation for your effort. Just my 2 cents[:)]

CF,

Nothing lasts forever, but you have treated us to something special and for that I offer you my humble thanks.  You have inspired me to try my hand at an AAR that is more than just posting game generated reports.  I have no illusion as to my writing skills, but I'll give it my best shot.

Thanks again and I look forward to any additional entries made here by you and will watch for you in the AE forum.
Todd

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Thanks for this wonderful story you have weaved over the last few years CF, you’ve played a great game and brought all of it to life superbly well. I’m sure like many others checking up on the Hibiki and her crew’s fortunes has been a part of my regular workday for a long time. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all your characters and will miss them all, best of luck with AE and I look forward to reading your next AAR over there when the time comes.

Also I can’t forget your opponent in all this, so many thanks to Wolfpack for providing a wily ‘enemy’ for the story to work against and for being a gracious, highly respectable quality opponent.

Damn, already going through withdrawal...

This is the best AAR I've ever read, on any game, ever.

[&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

So I only ask one question... does the Hibiki survive the war to be turned into razor blades (i.e. did it get smashed in port or not? :) )

Ya know... we all want to know about the end, how the crew dealt with it, what stories they had, who committed suicide, etc. etc. etc.

I sense a few "Small Ship Big War, the Post-War Years"  installment!

Fabulous tale, CF! Thank you very much! [&o]

For a follow-up: 'Small Ship, Cold War: With Pritky and the Red Banner Pacific Fleet', perhaps?  Or was this a timeline in which the Soviet Union did not get in on the act?

Thank you so much for a great ride. Guess there are just a few of us left now. Suspect there will be a lot fewer people readin my AAR without the intense glow of Small SHip Big War to draw the moths to the flame

I will never ever play a strategic Pacific WWII game and not treat the Hibiki the same. If I am the Allies, I will be hesitant to attack such a lucky ship and thereby bring the wrath of Shun down upon me or could I even roll the dice well enough to hit a ship protected as well as this ship!

CF - Thank you! I got into this AAR about 2/3 through and lost a whole weekend catching up, then keeping a tab open to just catch my Hibiki fix for the day... A great story and I look forward to you next undertaking!

I never imagined a little ship I'd never heard of could become so significant to me.

Fantastic all the way through, sir. Looking forward to more from you, whatever you choose to do.

I've had ill omens this morning, I was sure something bad was brewing and now, the tale of the Hibiki coming to an end. I'm so much in shock I might actually have to start working [;)]
