campaign

In the screenshot of the main menu, there is a "Play Campaign" option. Can you give us any idea of what the campaign will be like, i.e. a number of linked scenarios where your units gain experience, your performance effects the next scenario; or is it a full on map of Russia with the whole war played out PG style?

The campaigns are a series of linked scenarios, similar to the "General" series, where your performance in each battle determines your resources available for the next. Your core units follow you through the campaign and gain experience, you can upgrade their abilities, improve their equipment and recruit new units to customize your force. There are three campaigns in the game: 1. The German Barbarossa Offensive 2. The Soviet Winter Counter-offensive 3. The German Case Blue Offensive, and also several individual scenarios.

maybe as a possible project for the near future, the engine could be expanded to support dynamic campaigns as well

Agreed, that would be my personal #1 improvement for the next release in what we hope will be a series.
