I swear I saw a Buffalo ram a Betty in mid air once but as my air message delays are set to 0.2 seconds they rip by and it may have been a hallucination...

"Upperworks carried away" after an 8" shell hit a merchant's superstructure.

"PB obliterated by 12" mortar hit" after the TF tried to pass by Bataan on the way to Manila.

"Mogami collides with DD" during the biggest naval surface battle so far, between ABDA cruisers and a covering force at Jolo.

I don't think you get those, any more than you get the "X bounces Y" or "X spins away on fire" messages, you only get how many were shot down.

In any case I didn't look, and it was a long time ago now. [;)]

How about "SH2-B Field Latrine Assembly dropped in water" during amphibious landing.
