I don't know if you could fit this data in there somehow but a graphic to display the stacking limits on islands would be useful too. Only the islands that don't have unlimited stacking would need to be displayed.

The map wasn't built by me. PhotoShop did the work. [8D]
I put together a VBScript that read the data from the csv file that witpload generates.

Marc

You are too modest. PhotoShop may put it into the right spot but only about .0000001% of the world's population would know how to write the little thingy that populated the data [:)]

Very slick looking. Nice work

Thank you all for your kind words.

Regarding the printing size: I think you need at least 4x4 if not 5x5 A3 sheets. I will try that today if time permits.

If anybody wants another version please tell me what data you want to have where. The more precise you are the better.

Hi Marc,

Incredibly useful stuff!
I like the data that are currently displayed, but since you asked...
Would it be possible to add Japanese/Allied VPs as well as Resources?

My preferred layout would be (clockwise):

current port size/potential port size
current airfield size/potential airfield size
oil/resources
Japanese VPs/Allied VPs

Like you said earlier, displaying all the economy values would probably take too much space. (However, I feel that victory-wise, oil/resources are the most important ones).

If you manage to get that info on your map, I will very likely order a large laminated printout.

Thanks very much,

Moss

I put in the VP in an alternative version left and right from the base icons.
Please mind that these are the base values (see page 264 in the manual).
See first post for download links.

Another version could be with stacking limits or garrison requirements.

Well, since you asked ....... [;)]

I believe these would actually be better split into two separate maps.
One that contains
Heavy Industry
Light Industry
Refinery
(Frankly, if got oil and resources (which you alrady have in another version) into this one as well, it would cover the
basic needs for resounrce distribution/stealing planning as it would cover where are the basic resources (oil
and resource) and where do they need to go .......

The second would be naval specific and could include
Merchant Shipyards
Naval Shipyards
Repair Shipyards
(the alternative might be port size and Repair Shipyards as these will be the pertinent IMHO aspects)

Could your map creation be executed as a stand alone tool later on to capture changes in values ? IE, run it once every per year of game time ........ Just a thought since I'm on a roll.

Just some thoughts given your very fine work as sparked some ideas .....

You need PhotoShop for the map creation to work.

At the moment I takes about 40 minutes for every new value to import. Add to that another 20 minutes for the inital layout.
The data is then stored in several layers that I can show or hide.

Since it takes some time the industry and shipyard maps won't be ready in the nearest future.

Feel free to make additional proposals for map layouts.

By the way would it be no problem to alter the in-game map in the same way. I would just need a tool that can paste together the 42 bmp files into one file and after the enhancement divide it in the same way. I really don't want to do that manually.
But since there are already LCU and other icons on the map I'm not sure it would be of great help.
What do you think?

I have a tool that can divide maps. If you get one to me I can divide it up.
