Wonder how much kinkos would charge to print out a wall sized bitmap version ... like a 10 foot acrosser? I'm guessing $300USD. Boy that would look cool and would help game play if it was right on the wall behind my laptop!

Of course you'd have to laminate it too. [:D]

Actually I was scaling up - the $80 price I paid for a laminated map I got them to do for me a couple of years ago. A period topo of Saaremaa - for a "future" game of the German invasion in 1917. So yes, I was thinking laminated, but forgot to say it!

Anyone got any suggestions on graphics utilities to use on a JPEG file. Something that would allow me to draw text notes, arrows boundary lines etc etc

Another BrisVegas boy (although I'm out of country right now), that makes 3 of us [;)] Photoscape is a nice free download, as is Paint.net ... I'm sure there are other things out there that look great (look at some of the AAR's on the WITP site), but these are what I use.

Cheers

Nice map. Now I need a free ground floor, 2k counter and a minion (wife) for positioning. [:)]

They charge $4 a square foot.  3' x 3' would be $36.

Wow - big map...

It would be nice if the blue ocean could be represented as white. Otherwise its gonna cost a fortune to print out.

I wonder how much I would have to "bribe" my wife to even allow me to put a map like this on the wall. [;)]

Well you could project it onto a wall with a digital projector and the right kind of video card. Of course, you might have some 'splainin' to do when you turn the thing off and there are felt-tip markings all over the wall with arrows and scribbled messages like "nandi landing 11-14-42, 2nd Marine Div."

A cool, though time consuming, idea would be to project it onto a wall then trace and paint it. You could scale up to 8' x 12' and make your wife (or mistress or GF) wear a short skirt and have her move the pins around..."no...higher...put it up at Nome...up there in Alaska...".

On the plus side, the latter idea would certainly motivate me to pay more attention to North Pacific/China theaters...[:D]
