40,000 tons of supplies from San Francisco have arrived at PearHarbor. I am struggling to keep around the 100,000 ton mark at Pearl because of the constant demands of the other islands supplied via Pearl. This turn 3,000 tons arrived at Kona and another 2,000 tons arrived at Johnston Island. The needs of Johnston Island should slow down a little as I have finally built up more than 20,000 tons there and it now just about maintaining that level.

BB Colorado was ready at San Francisco. She is due an upgrade in June but I will push her to Pearl Harbor for now. She and DD Meredith joined the Hornet task force and set sail for Pearl Harbor. The newly arrived 8th USMC Def Bn and 1st Seabees transferred to SOPAC and shipped out for Efate. DD's Balch and Porter are cruising to Pearl from Seattle while an AK moved south to San Francisco. DD's Dunlap and Downes were ready at Vancouver and set sail for Pearl. I am moving damaged ships up to Vancouver from San Francisco to take their place.

1,000 tons of supplies from Brisbane arrived at Cairns, with another 2,000 tons arriving at Port Moresby. HMS Hermes (sys 70) disbanded at Perth and her USN escorts set off back to Soerabaya. The Q-Ship City of Durban sailed from Perth to join the 7th Aus Div convoy.

Jap reinforcements unloaded at Davao. B-25s from Menado went after the task force putting bombs into AP Kidokawa Maru and CL Yura (destroying a torpedo mount).

Off Kota Bharu DD Arashi was hit by a torpedo from the Dutch sub K XVIII. The counter attack caused damage 28/57/0 (see screenie) and the sub is heading for Batavia. AK Taglibaran finally succumbed to all her damage within sight of Batavia. AK Tobelo was sunk by 3 torpedoes and shellfire from I-26 south of Borneo. I have 2 ASW task forces heading to the spot in the hope of extracting revenge.

Zekes swept Mandalay again, meeting no opposition. A raid on Lashio destroyed another Lysander on the ground. Mike seems to mean business in Burma. He has extra Divisions deployed (this seems to weakened his efforts against Singapore) and seems to have an interest in cutting the Burma Road. He lost a Nell, 3 Bettys and 2 Marys over Manila. He lost 3 Nells, 2 Marys and 3 Sallys over Singapore.

My raids on IJA 55th Div in Burma missed, but IJA 31st Div at Magwe lost 47/2 casualties. At Singapore IJA 5th Div lost 32/1 and the Imperial Guards lost 37/1. Mike's supply situation was better than I guessed as he attacked at Singapore. He reduced forts to 2, but lost 2493/62/4 casualties to my 956/37. Supplies/Damage: Manila 25,069 and 0/64/90; Singapore 73,776 and 27/59/92.

O-20 sailed from Batavia to mine Davao. The Lion task force arrived at Soerabaya. Lion and some escorts joined Force Z, a Tribal class DD joined the Anglo-Dutch/US strike force and the spare ships steamed to Batavia to join my BB force.

This turn my SWPAC B-17s will attack Johore Bharu airfield, while the SEAC B-17s go after Rangoon. I had 2 77th LAA Rgts arrive at Karachi. 1 will move forward while I hold the other back at Karachi to prevent any advantage being gained.

Sorry for the lack of updates - busy at home and work...

A sub on a minelaying trip is reporting Kate sightings near Kwajalein so it looks like at least some of Mike's CV's are still there. A Jap sub has been spotted heading west to the east of Pearl Harbor. Two ASW task forces have been formed to steam along the predicted track in the hope of a successful encounter.

DD Clark was ready at Seattle and set sail for Pearl Harbor. BB West Virginia (system damage 62) finally arrived in the South Atlantic to start repairing the damage she incurred at Pearl Harbor. US 91st Engineers arrived at Perth after a 57 day journey from CONUS.

C3N1 Kates and D3A Vals were reported near Manila by USS Tuna and S-40. It looks like there really is a CV present in the task force attacked by the Chinese a few turns back (see screenie).

Tivandrum, in India, now has a size 2 airfield.

More Japs landed at Davao.

My raids on Magwe and Rangoon airfields only caused minor damage. At Johore Bharu my B-17s destroyed 3 Zekes, a Lily and a Betty on the ground. IJA 31st Div at Magwe suffered 58 casualties from tactical bombers, while IJA 5th Div at Singapore lost 28/1. Mike hit Lashio and damaged the airfield. At Singapore he lost 2 Nells, a Lily, 2 Sallys, a Helen and 2 Marys in more low altitude attacks. Pp 101st Div at Davao was bombed amd lost 43/1 casualties.

Damage and supply situation: Manila 0/64/82 and 28,382 tons; Singapore 27/58/81 and 73,872 tons.

1,800 tons of supplies from Batavia are unloading at Balikpapan. 60,000 tons from Aden have arrived at Calcutta. SS Travancore disbanded at Diamond Harbour with 12 points system damage. HMS Illustrious and escorts arrived at Aden and sailed to Colombo to pick up an attack squadron, as she had arrived with only a fighter unit embarked.

In China Honan and Wuchow were bombed again. The AVG and 34th FS will attempt an ambush over Wuchow next turn. Japanese troops have completely withdrawn from Xuwen. This adds to my suspicion that Mike has become aware of my plan to use China as a distraction to absorb some of his effort and is sending the troops where that can better support his strategic aims. I will step up efforts in China to try to confuse this effort.

Geraldton airfield is now size 3.

4 DMs disbanded at Pearl Harbor for repairs. Both my ASW task forces missed the Jap sub and are returning to Pearl. 1,600 tons of supplies arrived at Lahaina from Pearl.

3 new APs at San Diego moved to San Francisco. Among them was the last Large APA which has the error in the 6/42 upgrade. Needless to say, she has had upgrades turned off for now. DMS Chandler was ready at Portland and has sailed for Pearl.

1,000 tons of supplies arrived at Tulagi from Sydney. 1,575 tons arrived at Auckland from Newcastle. 3,000 tons of resources arived at Geelong from Kendari. 20,000 tons of oil arrived at Melbourne from the South Atlantic, while 10,000 tons of fuel from the same place arrived at Pearl. DMS Southard was ready at Sydney and is cruising to join the strike force at Townsville.

Here is the latest Ace list.

Kalibo, in the Philippines, was occupied by the Japanese. It is astride the route my subs take to Manila. Port Blair airfield is now size 2.

I raided airfields at Magwe, Rangoon and Johore Baharu. At Johore Bharu a Sally, a Lily and 2 Zekes were destroyed on the ground. IJA 55th Div took 11 casualties, while at Singapore IJA 5th took 17/1/1. JAAF 33rd EAB at Magwe took 27. The Japs destroyed 2 Lysanders at Lashio and the IAF recon unit has been ordered to withdraw to Kohima. At Manila Mike lost 2 Nells and 2 Marys, while over Singapiore he lost 1 Betty, 2 Lilys and a Helen. Davao was also raided and Pp 101st Div took 17/1 casualties. The forces at Davao are the subject of the screenie.

Damage/supplies: Manila 33/64/74 24,601; Singapore 27/58/64 73,646.

The Jap ships retreating from Mersing took a hammering. In the morning A-24s, B-26s and Beauforts hit AK Tonan Maru with 6 bombs (she sank), AK Yamahuzi Maru with one and AK Aniwa Maru with one. The two latter vessels are heavily damaged. In the afternoon an A-24 was shot down by a Claude CAP over these vessels. Another and a Beaufort were damaged, with two Claudes damaged in return. AK Yamahuzi Maru took another 500 lb bomb, with AK Aniwa Maru taking another two.

A sub has been spotted near Lombok (see screenie). Multiple ASW task forces are reacting. 21st PS at Batavia upgraded to the P-40E from the P-40B. 2 modern RN CLs and 5 Tribal class DDs from the Lion force joined my battleship task force at Batavia.

IA 10th Engineer Bn left Madras for Imphal.

I am afraid I am getting behind on AAR updates due to heavy work and family commitments. I will keep notes and try to do a catch up at some point. It is a possibility that I will have to stop the AAR and just concentrate on trying to get turns back in good time. If this turns out to be the case, I apologise to loyal readers.
