FoF questions where I cant find an answer

Post by Oliver Heindorf »

I play this game since it was released from time to time and I really like it. I have 10.10. patch installed now and I understood that I have to restart. I play always advanced settings

There are a few questions where i cant find an anwer :

When I recruit Infantry, population of a city drops according to the manual.

But where is the point when the decreasing population will harm my economy ?

I mean if the population is zero - what happens ?

What if the Population is 6/12 8/12 10/12 12/12 respectively? Are there any disadvantages ?

thank you !

Please read section A.8.1, page 172:

A.8.1 Population Modifiers
In the advanced game, each province’s production of resources is multiplied by the following factor:
.5+((current population of province / maximum population of province) / 2)
The income for each is adjusted to reflect this.

thanks !!!

another one for you :

I understand the usage of the containers and I work with tons of Divisions. But I dont get it : why I should build Corps / Armies ? I mean, I can put Div in Corps, Corps in Armies. But where is the advantage ? I mean I can have 24 Divisions without Corps/Armies in a province why should I bother with Corps ?

Several reasons for wanting a Corps.

1. A DIV operating on its own is lunch for an enemy corps, while a corps operating on its own will usually only be routed by a corps or bigger container.

2. A 3 star general can help rally all brigades in his corps (so extra rally possibility)

3. A 3 star general might train brigades in his corps (so extra possibility for training)

4. Two brigades within the same corps doubles their flanking bonus against enemy brigades.

5. If you need to reinforce during a battle, you can only call in one container per day. Would you prefer a corps or a div?

And probably several other reasons I cannot think of at the moment.
