Random Regime Names

Post by Jeffrey H. »

One of the funny and likeable aspects of random games is the interesting 'word-salad' of regimes. I really like it.

I was browsing around the other day and I found this site:

http://nine.frenchboys.net/index.php

Ok, now don't worry, it's not one of "those" sites and I'm definitely NOT "like that" !

But give it a try and see if you like the stuff the random routines spits out. I get a mild kick out of it.

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

I'd like to be able to name my own regime in random scens. Reformed Barony soundsfaintly ridiculous and certainly isn't designed to strike terror into one's enemies.
Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed.

You can change the names. Just edit go to regimes and change the names.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

I'm actually quite fine with the regime names. In my large games there's always something "dark" or "twisted" among the countries. I like "dark" or "twisted" countries. [8D]

What I'd appreciate a lot would be a few more flags to be randomly distributed to the countries in random games. If you're routinely playing large games against 7-9 AIs, you're always fighting with the same flags, since there are only about a dozen or so that is in the random game pool. I don't know if you can manually change that. If so, I'd appreciate a hint or two. [;)]

You haven't truly played Advanced Tactics until you've conquered the Hard Marines.. [:D]
