PBEM

Hussar Games "For Liberty!" is a turn based game of the American Revolution and the Rakoczi Independence War. Command the armies of the newly born United States of America against Britain or the ill-equipped Hungarian rebels against mighty Austria. 1848 is a turn base game on the Hungarian rebellion against Austria in 1848-49.

PBEM

Post by New York Jets »

As there is little to no information on setting up and transferring PBEM games in the rules, I have a few questions.

Do the files need to be zipped?

Exactly which file(s) do I send?

What is the procedure to follow to load and play the incoming turn?

This is the first game I have seen in years that does not include anything on PBEM play in the rules.

A little help would be appreciated.

(Edit)

You know, this is really screwed up. I have a friend who has this game and wants to play it and there's NO guidance on how to proceed with PBEM.

Awful.

Just email your save game file for the last turn to your friend. No need to zip. He puts it in his save game folder and opens it. if I recall correctly.

As I can't find the beta patch in the members section (and it appears I'm not alone), I'm not currently playing the game.

Well, that did not work.

I'll just give up on this title.
