I hate to do this.

Post by Hairog »

I don't want to have to resort to this but...

I need to re-download War in the Pacific to a new computer. I have requested Matrix to allow me to download the game I already bought. They have replied 6 times and every single time it was for the wrong game.

Matrix support or anyone. I need War in The Pacific

Not Star Shattered
Not WW 2 Road to Victory
Not Forge of Freedom
Not Crown of Glory
Not Commander World at War
Not Close Combat Iron Cross
Not Advanced Tactics
Not Uncommon Valor
Not Operational Art Of War
Not Harpoon

Holy poop I've bought a lot of their games.

Thanks Eric.

Sorry about that but it was getting really ridiculous.

And I did burn it to CD. It was damaged.

Call me an old geezer, but I always add the physical shipment to my orders. I like to have something to put in my grubby little hands when I spend my money...

Well, even a physical shipment CD can become damaged, so you could still end up in the same predicament.....

I make two copies of Matrix games.  One on a CD.  The other on an external hard drive.  Also put a copy of the SN in the folder.  That is a good system, except they are all in the same place, my house.  Maybe I should put the CDs in a safe deposit box.

What I really need is a flash drive with memory like an external hard drive.  And I know we're getting there.

You can get 4GB USB sticks for $20 these days.  Why go through of burning a DVD when you can just dump all your games onto a single stick?  They probably won't last forever but I've never ever had a USB stick go bad on me before.

I found one that I pressure washed out of an airplane at 4,000 psi (and boy did it shoot out and bounce all over the place inside the plane!)... dried it off, took it home and it worked fine! (to this day it still works!)
