I very much liked "The Elf"'s AAR, (read as good as some books), but I prefer not to distract from the job at hand....So..................NOTHING TO SEE HERE.....MOVE ALONG.[8D]

Obviously a detailed AAR would be quite time consuming, as I am sure Andy's and the Elf's were. But throwing up some quick screens from a game against a human or AI, even without any naration, would be greatly appreciated by everyone here who is eagerly awaiting the game.

Maybe start a stickied thread and just call it "**WORK IN PROGRESS** Screenshots from dev and testers games". You could snap a quick screenshot, throw an almost non-existant narative (ie. 'Shot shows new ground combat at Manila') and be done with it. Even if only one or two of you had time to put up a single screenshot a week, it would still be a lot more than nothing. In the past on other games that I beta tested for Panther games, we did something very similar. Just and idea [:D]

By no stretch of the imagination are these demands by any of us, we are just very much so looking forward to this great game.

Thanks

Chad

There is a monster amount of work going into the AI just now. We're looking for our testers to rip and tear things to shreds the best they can.

So at this point, screenshots are more likely to show the seamy, gnarly underbelly of the beast than something to get ya'll excited. I have NO date for ya'll, but I can say I believe we're in the short strokes. I, for one, am getting really, really comfy with what's in the box. There is light at the end of the tunnel and this time, it isn't a train.

As I said above, I can certainly understand the rush at the end of the race.

You guys have done a tremendous job on this. If you had asked me a year ago what I wished AE would be, it would be much, much less than what you have all accomplished. Half the stuff I hear about these days in AE is stuff I would have never though possible (such as the new loading system).

Just knowing that we are getting close is enough. For these features, I am willing to wait as long as it needed for them to just be in there.

Thanks again for the replay.

Chad we would love to say yes but we need to get this current test cycle on the AI done before we know where we stand - its coming as fast as we can possibly get it out there and be happy with it - we need to get the bugs cleared the AI performing a little better and THEN we will let you lot at it !!!

It will be well worth the wait. Keep up the great work and good luck with the bugs.

Oooooohhh! Oooooooooh!
We know you guys are busy,
but we refuse to let it go.
If I have to beg and plead for your sympathy,
I don't mind 'cause it means that much to me.

Ain't to proud to beg, oh Matrix,
please release it, let it go,
Ain't to proud to beg, c'mon gamers,
'cause you know, we need it so..

We know the game's a'coming..
but it's been a long, long time.
You have told us that it's not perfect,
but that's all right, and we won't cry.

Come on, brothers and sisters..
Ain't to proud to beg, oh Matrix,
please release it, let it go.
Ain't to proud to beg, c'mon gamers,
'cause you know, we need it so.

with abject [&o] apologies to the Temps...
