OT A Great Pro/College Football Text Sim

Post by KG Erwin »

Ok, it's not a Matrix product, so I won't post the website. However, the unusual thing is that the company is based in North Yerkshire. I bought the game several months ago, and there is a new version to which I just upgraded.

I love it, but my main point is the simple irony that a fantastic American-style football sim is being produced by Englishmen. I'm happy that our brethren from across the pond have finally caught on. [:D]

How about a name without a link..I do not think Matrix would mind that!

I think he's referring to Second and Ten from Roogames: http://www.roogames.co.uk/

Very good text sim. Have had it for awhile and it's definitely good for replays.

How does it do with the old seasons? Are they out of whack or have realistic scores. I'm looking for a game that has from 1980 on back. Also it didn't show if it had " real " NFL teams or fake teams and names with correct stats. Thanks.

OK, WBaugh, you are correct. SAT 6.05 has real Pro teams going back to 1949. With the latest version, one CAN create a career league. I started playing the 1959 Packers in version 5.13, and no, the results were not out of whack. The game automatically adjusts to rules changes/playing styles in the various time periods.

A further note: I've been waiting for over 30 years for a football game like this one. It isn't simplistic by any means, but actual game play, once the terms are understood, is smooth.

You can d/l the complete game for a three-day trial period. I strongly recommend giving it a try.

sulla05,

Let me know a specific team that you're interested in and I'll post the team stats.
