You'll have to start over. The two games have different save file formats.

But shouldn't he be able to continue his WitP game? He can not convert it to an AE game, but you will still be able to play WitP games, right?

AE will not interfere with WitP at all (other than getting in the way of fixing bugs in WitP [:'(]). Different games.

I know, but Terminus said he would have to start over - which is wrong.

What he said is you wont be able to continue current WitP games as AE games which is correct, you cant. Because they arent the same game. But if you are concerned that you have to start WitP games over to continue to play WitP, dont fret. They arent the same game. AE will not interfere with those games in any way.

That is not what I read the OP posting, but you can read it the way you want.

Well, given the reaction of the OP, I seem to have gotten it right.

I read it the other way too, T. However, it does not matter as both questions have been answered...
