Looking for a hughe WWII scenario

Post by Singleton Mosby »

Title says most of it.

I was looking at this page and wanted to play all those hughe ones right away.

Are there any hughe WWII scenarios which can be played against the AI?

Yes, Europa 1947 is playable against the AI although I think it's played better as the Axis. Keep in mind that the moves for the AI can take awhile. Cheers.

Any scenario with multiple fronts (and any Europe-wide scenario in this era will have multiple fronts) will by necessity be unplayable for the AI. It is not yet possible to design an AI that can switch forces intelligently between multiple fronts, even by using multiple objective tracks.

Further, the larger the scenario the worse this effect will be. Something like Bob Cross' Germany 1945 scenario (I forget the correct title) should be OK for the AI because it is very small even though it does essentially cover the whole war in Europe for 1945. But if you take one of the 25km/hex monsters, the AI is just not going to be able to cope with the strategic situation.

There's a scenario called "Directive 21" which is operation Barbarossa in which you're the Axis playing against the Soviet PO.  I've just started playtesting it and it seems to me like an FITE mod in which the Soviet side has been PO enabled.  I've even started an AAR about my experiences and that AAR starts here:

tm.asp?m=1936198

If you need to put warheads on foreheads who you gonna call? An FO...just one will do.
