Unfortunately I must report bugs in 1.03

West Front

United Kingdom platoon file (platoon009 - both oob and obx)
line 64, there are wrong delimeters between values, tabulators instead of spaces (position 16 and 32)


Rising Sun

Chinese Warlords platoon file (platoon038 - both oob and obx)
line 36
line 83 and several following line

there are wrong delimiters, double spaces

I have also noticed bugs...but I am not as conversant as you seem to be...please see my post 1.03 in main area and let me know what you think.

Another one, this time graphic related

some 3D units graphic files are not proper BMP format, they are just JPG files renamed to BMP.
They can not be rendered by the game

until now I noted following files
Rising Sun
 - up38319.bmp
 - up38327.bmp
 - up36502.bmp

I'll post others if I found them

Here's a couple that are related:

In EF, German platoon01.obo:

The 2-SP Pz 39H 735(f) and the 3-SP 81mm PAW 8H62 ATG use the same unit number (P01176). The entry in the weapon.pdt appears to be for the ATG. Also, the Up-file referenced by the tank (Up01652) doesn't exist in EF, but does exist in WF.

By the way, hat's off to all who worked on 1.03. Looking forward to playing with all the new features, especially the new engineer abilities. Very cool.[&o] Many thanks.

Found another entry for the same ATG, P01895. Identical to the ATG above in every way, including weapon range and values.

small graphic glitch...

German 1944 MG Platoon winter graphic bit file does not match up to unit graphic.

Guys,

Just downloaded up-date and excellant work by all concerned and am still wading though it all.

Just thought I'd tell you that US ships in Rising Sun cannot be created as a meeage pops up saying something on the lines of "failure to create bit map image."

In EF:
German SS Parachute Infantry units (P01241-P01243) reference Up01241.bmp which is missing in EF, but exists in WF.
German BV 141B Recce Aircraft (P01513) has no image (Up.bmp). Image can be found in WF.

In WF:
German Marine Landing Barge (P01758) has no image.
German leIG 37 75mm Infantry Gun (P01690) has wrong image. (image of camp)
German FlaK 28(e) 40mm AAG (P01690) has no attack values, hard or soft.

To whomever spruced up the unit 3d icons, nice job. They look great![:D]

And thanks to Arkady for his unit viewer. It's a great bug catcher.[;)]

That's strange. I played the EF Bootcamp 6 scenario and my planes had no problems firing from over water hexes. And I lost 2 Stukas to 37mm AAGs, which is a huge improvement over 1.02 where I never lost a strength point to AA fire.

Too bad about your Stuka, I had no idea mortars could be used as FlaK.[:D] But I can top that. In 1.02, I lost a Storch Recce that was assaulted by a rifle platoon. Seriously though, indirect fire damaging aircraft is a known issue that's documented in the new Bootcamp Overviews. I don't know if it can't be fixed or they just haven't gotten around to it.

BTW, your unit viewer is awesome, thanks for updating it so quickly.

I thought that problem was with Stukas over shalow water ... I attacked ships from port side
Excuse my English ... I hope is better then Your Czech ... 8-)

Many strange things can happen in battle1 Big surprise! Your Stuka got hit by a mortar round! In 1968 a USAF C-130 in northern RVN was shot down by a 105mmm US howitzer. I know the Artillery 1LT (Btry XO) who did it! Friction of War, my friend.

Sounds like a cold hard dose of reality ; we have Fire support Coordinators to help prevent such incidents, but they never bother to clue in the enemy of our indirect fire trajectories! [:D]

WF The eagles talons Germam airlanding units arrive by ship which becomes a glider on landing

Hi All,

I am playing the Hunters from the Sky linked campaign. I was also quite surprised to see the FJ arrive by ship that changed into Gliders upon landing.

Considering the extent of the excellent work that has been done on the Campaign Series, this is a small issue. But I thought I would add to Gifty's report so you could see it was happening with more than one person.
