CHS 155 Game - Closed

Hi
I want to start a new CHS 155 scen standard game. I prefer Allied side but will play Japan if no one interested.
HR can be defined if needed.
I play aggressively from the begining so high casualties expected for both sides.

on 1.806 witp version? It is not explained.

I am glad you seem to have found someone.

And equally glad that you, like me, have given up on Nik Modified Air.

I am far too burned out on WITP to restart our game. And I blame a lot of it on Nik Nerf Air. It completely saps the life right out of the game. You might as well not even have fighters, or bother giving them orders.

well, i installed CHS 155, it seems ok;
i inspected it a little bit because it is the first time;
some few things seem strange to me;
one is the G5N Liz factory (0 in prod) but there are no
G5N groups in reinforcements and no possibility to upgrade
a bomber group with those plane.[&:]
I don't think this plane played a major role during war.
An other thing, i made one turn to see the raid on Pearl Harbor.
No torpedoes were launched[&:] so no BB sunk. Probably lack of
luck ???

So, i could eventually be interested to play this mod with you.
I have a preference for japanese.
But as AE will be released in some months, i am not sure to have
the possibility of a complete game.
In fact, it will depend of the style of our game (you said you are agressive,
that's a good news);
It will also depend of the quality of AE when it will be released;
I think i will begin by a short scenario in order to see if it is plenty of bugs [:-]
as it was for WitP at the beginning, so perhaps i will have still enough time to continue
our game;
Are you interested eventually by a short game??

I have some house rules but i prefer waiting your answer before
speaking about that.

You need to convert one of your factories to get it. Don't bother, It's not worth it.

If you changed anything in KB setting then check what you did. If not then you are just out of luck.

It's nothing to do with Nick's mod. I got same results in PBEM while using standard CHS 155.

Your opening moves were amazing but later I think you did a strategic mistake. If you want send me PM and I will explain you what you should do to easily counter my move.

There are two Nell units (in Formosa I think) that can upgrade to G5N. Convert a small factory and build some if you like, then you can upgrade one of those units to G5N. Once you do that, all Navy LB groups can upgrade to G5N.

The plane isn't useless, but rather has limited uses. It can put twice as much ordinance on target for the same amount of AV support at a base. So one base unit and a 27 plane group of Lizs, can do as much damage as 54 Betties - which would take 2 Base forces of AV support. This can come in handy when you are trying to garrison all your bases effectively. Or, in terms of airbase size - you can put 250 Liz in a size 5 airbase and deliver as much power as 500 Betty (which would need a size 10 airbase).

Other plus - higher durability so pilots survive longer, plus twice as much bombs as airframe.

Limited range and lack of torpedoes are what prevent it from being really great, but it does have uses in certain locations. Like most planes in the game, where and how use you utilize them is part of how well you play the game.

What i mean is yhat we can begin the big campaign (at the rate of
1 turn a day or more) and in about one year when AE will be available,
we will decide by mutual agreement if we continue. (i hope we continue!!)

AE is not a factor for me yet. I prefer to finish my games by 45 or autovictory even it it takes ages to finish.
If this is your first PBEM experience and you do not have much experience playing both sides via AI then you should expect to do critical mistakes . Are you ready for this?

If you want to train before taking this commitment we can practice with one of the short scenarios and then we can start a new game when AE will show up.

What do you think?

Oh no, i am not a rookie at WitP.
3 PBEM already finished, 1 draw and 2 decivise victory
as jap (short scenarii);
and i practice WitP for many years;

So, i am ok for a big one on CHS until the end even if
in the worse case, i slow down because of AE;

I am playing a big campaign against a very agressive
allied player and i slaughtered his navy[:D], so be a little bit
careful;

perhaps, we can speak about house rules;
