RemoteIn / RemoteOut and Online Leagues

Post by Marauders »

The RemoteIn/RemoteOut feature will likely be used by Maximum Football based online leagues. I would like to address a potential issue that should be addressed by multiplayer leagues: the waiver wire.

If the league commissioner processes weekly team changes by using Remote files from teams, one should note that the last Remote file processed will overrule previous Remote files processed. This is important to know, as team owners may want to pick up free agents between games. If more than one team picks up the same player, the last to to be processed will end up with the player on the roster, and any other team will be left with a roster hole.

An online leagues would do well to have a waiver wire or free agent area on its board, so that roster changes can be documented and this issue will not become a problem. That way, only one team will actually select any given free agent for a Remote file change.

This isn't an issue outside of multiplayer leagues.
