crash

Post by british exil »

Playing with 1.10L

US Civil War scenario. Playing as California.

The game has crashed about 5-8 times today. Most of the times I've forgotten to save before I finish my turn, have to rely on the Autosave funktion.
Why does my game crash? Crashed twice during the AI turn.

I made a screen shot of the error, hope your German is ok as my windows is a german version.

Thanks for the effort you've already put in.
I'd like to help you out, but as soon as I click on "Inhalt der Fehlerberichten"
I get a long list of 1 and 0's and I can scroll it quite a way down.
I have no idea what I'd be looking for or how I can save this info.

No computer genius.
Most often my computer has hung up by then.

I'll see what I can do though.
Thanks once again.

Mat

you could try upgrading to v1.11 anyway.

forget about the fehlerbericht inhalt if it just binary 0 and 1 garble. that wont do me any good :)
thanks for hanging in there. but there is something odd about this error.

also i let the AI play itself from your savefiles for a few hours without being able to repeat the bug.

do you have Vista installed by any chance?

I play all my games on my Vista laptop. I've been playing with v1.11 and just installed the v1.12. I've had no errors in any of my games thus far.

Using XP.

I played quite a bit yesterday and only one crash. I suppose my computer is having problems.
I'll be upgrading 1.11 soon, just try and finish off this game.

Thanks for all your effort.

@british,

i was asking because there is something strange about your error. It is different from all the others reported so far.

all other errors get a pop up like shown in the screenshot in this thread:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1717497

so i am almost tempted to think it is caused by something else like your OS or other software running. or anti-virus software maybe?

sorry for your problems, i dont know if it is my fault though.

kind regards,
Vic
