matrix 2008
Last year was a great year of matrix games with several different time periods represented but looking at the coming soon page it appears that 2008 is only WW2. Are other time periods in production or are those of us who like to vary our gaming eras going to have to look elsewhere?

What you see right now is just the barest outline of what's coming for 2008. It's a good reminder though that we need to update our "coming soon".

Thanks for the reply Erik. For me last year was a great year for the napoleonic era, this year I am hoping for something ancient or better still medieval, you know heraldry, armour , swords and damsels in distress. Here's hoping.

Just a not so subtle hint. I like to have something to look forward to........e.g castles, knights?

You may see some re-releases of classic wargames with a few added bells and whistles, you will also see some mighty engrossing continuations of venerable wargaming masterpieces (War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition anyone?), and, last but not least, you can bank on seeing some brand new titles with plenty of innovation that hopefully mark the start of a successful series.
Its nearly March, can we have some idea of what we can look forward to. I waited years for EiA but at least I believed it was coming, so any news about what we can expect this year.
RE: matrix 2008
Yes it would be nice to know what is coming.

Wait... are these titles or hints: like Global Flames = World in Flames?

Sure it is, but he should had been a little more coy, and call it something like Global Embers instead.ORIGINAL: Son_of_Montfort

Ambitous batch of work.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Erik omitted "Crown of Glory: The Emperor's Edition." In fact, I just posted an announcement in our forum calling for new beta-testers. Some of you will be pleased to know that among our major new features is the opportunity to play with a "basic" economy, which will let you focus on warfare and diplomacy. Not to mention that we've added detailed naval combat, to complement our detailed land battles.

I want a War in the Mediterranean by Grigsby. Wasn't that supposed to happen at some point?

Huh. Maybe "Glory of the Sea" was indeed intended to hint at the COG expansion. When it comes to riddles I'm no Gollum, evidently...
