Changing Map Colors of Small Countries?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Changing Map Colors of Small Countries?

Post by Marshall Thomas »

Is it possible to change the color of small countries? If so, how do you do so? Especially in the 1792 scenario (with so many minor countries sharing borders), it would be nice to have different map colors for these countries. Thanks in advance

Yes.  If you go into the Data/ directory and open the file players2.txt in a spreadsheet, you'll see columns of numbers labeled "Red", "Green", and "Blue".  You can enter new values in these columns (between 0 and 255) to change the colors of any of the nations/countries.  There are player2.txt files in the Scenario/ directories; I can't remember offhand whether you'll need to modify these as well if you play scenarios or not.
