I have my games all set up on command line to execute in windowed mode and, as I said, can drag the window all over.... including onto my 2nd monitor. Instead of dragging it I went to a corner and pulled it slightly bigger.... here is the result. I suspect this is the issue in this thread.

Incidentally by very carefully resizing the window again and trial and error I got it back again.....

Three moves all awaited and no sign...... so I'm playing to wile away my time!

this is common. it often starts to appear when you drop your game down to the task bar. i've learnt not to do this, instead i use alt+tab to switch windows.

I wish I had so many units in my Japanese games! [:D]
i not infrequently get this kind of thing in non-Windows mode - it seems to be related to having too much memory tied up in various other programs... usually if i close the other programs it goes away, but occasionally i have to reboot.
