Yes, I agree with you, for the forests, for the graphics engine, I think unfortunately it is too limited to do exactly what I want ... therefore I adapt to it...sorry for my english, i speak french[/align]

Very good work, can´t wait to play AT with these graphics, they´ll enhance the game a lot.

The woods look a little bit like swamp *g*, but i like them too.

The same thought occured to me about the forest looking a bit like swamp. Could they be made a slightly darker green.. maybe with the tree top canopy emphasized a bit more?

Overall it's looking brilliant though :)

Edit, actually I can see now they look like fir trees from a kind of top down/side angle, so forget what I said about that canopy. They actually look really good.. maybe just a bit darker green? Either way, they are really good! There's just a certain something that needs tweaking.. darker colour is all I can think of.

I think you need to give the forrest a higher contrast/ shadows, similar to your mountain textures.
-again kudos to you.
you and GJK are indeed polishing up a diamond of a game.

I'm curious as to how you got the low mountains to not repeat the same pattern over and over again when there's only one tile (of 2 hexes) for it? Good job however you did it!

Hello GJK, tank's for the reply, but, no, in my mod, there's not only one tile for mountain, i have making a new tileset for each terrain, with 7 hex for the center, and 64 hex for the transitions.....

That's beyond what I've been doing, I'll have to look into the different possibilities - I don't understand how to use the editor to even open an existing scenario for editing. Hopefully someone will post a tutorial soon explaining it's usage.

for open a scenario for editing, first open scenario for play (not in editor) and you have a edit button in the scenario page...
before you select side and options, click edit....

Hey Nick,

Overall it looks good. The only comment I have is that I liked the high mountains in the previous edition. The last one was too white. The hvy forests looked better. I am looking forward to seeing this one released. If you decide to release the mod as is, you may want to allow us to use the previous high mountains as an option. Thanks for your hard work.

I agree with cbelva, the high mountains looked better in the previous edition. The forests are getting better but I still think they can be improved. But all in all it looks quite amazing - really looking forward to it getting released.

I really like the plains and forests, but the hills and mountains somehow look "blurry" and I think the previous version was also a bit better.

I went back and looked at the two versions again. I definitely like the previous versions of the mountains better. I agree with Erik, in the newer version, the mountains/hills look blurry. I felt the mountains/hills in the earlier version were near perfect.

Thank's for your answers....I have rework the mountains and high moutain graphic because There was a problem of graphic transition.....transition between hex's was not perfect...Now, i like the new graphic, I do not have time for rework yet....
In the next version perhaps.....

Beautiful work! I love this game and how it can be customized in many ways. It is a true wargame construction kit.
