could someone who has toaw-acow download this toaw-vol 1 scenario ---> http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/scenar ... .php?Id=57 then save it with the toaw-acow editor and send it to me?

it's 'russian war' by oleg werner and trey marshal, unfortunately only for toaw-vol 1, i'd like to play it with t3, but for that i need the toaw-acow saved scen

It has to be first saved with the most recently patched version of TOAW I.
Then it has to be saved with the most recently patched version of TOAW CoW.
Then it has to be saved with the most recently patched version of TOAW III.

just curious...

...what would happen if i loaded a toaw-vol 1 scen into the toaw 3 editor and saved (leaving out the toaw-vol 1 and acow stages) - loading and saving toaw-vol 1 scen with toaw 3 editor IS possible

what would be wrong with such a scenario?

You can't load toaw I scenarios into the toaw III editor. Attempting to do so generates an error.

I wonder what's with all those "debug" withdrawals in the events list, also some news says xxx disbands, when the unit has a withdraw event...

It simply has (Debug) before it so that the designer, or anyone looking at it, knows what the event does, but so that there is no news, I'd imagine.
To repeat history in a game is to be predictable.

yeah, i had it too, it looks as if the t3 editor needed a lot of time to work something out

funny, it takes a lot of time to load even when i load the new, converted t3 version again as if i had something inside that made calculations very complicated, so the conversion doesn't make it normal - it doesn't seem to have become like all other t3 scenarios which load fast

I see that three rifle div's each have two withdrawal events attached to them... Not hard to get confused with the/any Soviet OOB in a 1941/1945 scenario
