Game Won't Load
I'd meant to address this awhile back but I forgot my log in information which was on another computer. The computer that I had originally installed the game on suffered a mother board casualty back in April. I transferred the hard drive to the newer, faster machine that I replaced it with, however when I try to run the game shortly after the load screen appears a window pops up saying fatal error 771. The original game disc is at home (I am in the process of completing a remote assignment) so I can't reload the game as such. The drive that the game is on has been installed as a "D" drive as it had been on the old machine. The previous machine was running Win 98 while the current machine is running 2000 with a higher speed processor and more memory. Any ideas?

The 771 error code indicates an install problem. Not the game on the disk, but installation into an instance of windows.
I think you are going to have to reinstall (when you get home).

I just spent Veteran's day running around in my T-Shirt with an image of the Vietnam service ribbon and "When called we served and you spat on us for it". Do it every year, hoping to run into some of Hanoi Jane's boys. Even when to Whole Foods, where the aging hippies roam. No action this year.
By the way - happy veteran's day y'all. All veterans, everywhere. For the rest of you - find a veteran and buy him a beer!

Probably wore themselves out reliving past glories over the last several years, funny how you keep seeing the same old (figuratively and now literally) faces at these things. One of the funniest items anyone ever sent me was a copy of the Austin Chronicle while I was in the middle east in 1991 wherein a letter to the editor bemoaned the war ending too quickly to get a protest movement together. Guess they'd been working on it ever since.
