"You Tube" Military Videos

Post by KG Erwin »

There is a wealth of great footage to be found on You Tube, and I came across this reminiscence of a elderly US veteran who served in Japan post-WWII.

Mr. Loken has a 5-part video on the site. For a Pacific War fan like me, this is priceless stuff:

Part II -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVPfDN_n ... er&search=

Part III -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThjWmLmV ... ed&search=

Part IV -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJpGxj5u ... ed&search=

Part V-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb6ElHeo ... er&search=

While I`m not a big fan of this website (or better of all the crap that is up there) this is a very good use of the medium. More old veterans should do this. There is not many of them anymore and when they are gone nobody will be able to tell the story first hand.

Thanks for posting.

Since today is Armistice Day (Remembrance Day/Veterans Day) I've posted a link to one of my favourite remembrance videos here.
