Do you know how many tankers does it take to haul 200,000 units of fuel from West Coast all the way to Northern Japan?

Despite nice work by American gunners, Asahikawa battle is turning more and more sour. Almost half of 4th division was killed upon disembarkment. Not disabled, killed completely. You'd think 40,000 troops already on the ground would have secured a beachhead.

How do you classify when a ship was "sunk" by a sub? Sometimes the ship doesn't sink until many days later and many miles later, enroute to home base. Other times a sub might sink a ship which was badly damaged by other means first, etc. etc. I guess I'm trying to say, sometimes the classification process might be "fuzzy", so curious how you're handling this.

A sub had to have delivered the final blow, as confirmed by combatreport.txt and sunk ship listing. That's why I keep all the combat reports as in some cases I had to go back 2 months.
